Big Battle on Highway 72

Hello world!
The day started out early with a sprinkler system on the grass field of the auditorium at the Casino in Parker. Classic movie scenario, everyone grabbing their belongings and just running from the water at 4:45 am (we did sleep under the stars without asking anyone!). After a quick morning of setting up and a stop at the Wal-Mart we strode on leaving Parker AZ on our way to Solome AZ!
We figured it would be a pretty easy 56 mile ride, little did we know... So after a straight road for 48 miles on Highway 72, ohh I forgot, a constant CONSTANT HEADWIND! That's right, biking 48 miles into a constant headwind is horrible, painful, not rewarding like a big climb, hot, and slowly uphill all day! This day has   been the hardest day of all... SO HARD. Lots of screaming obscenities, random yelling, lots of questioning what was happening. Just hard, very, very, very, extremely hard! In fact, so hard that I don't want to talk about the ride anymore... Just don't.

America Fuck yea
So know we are chillin at Don's Cactus Bar in Salome Arizona chatting it up with the Don himself! He is a Wisconsin native who moved to AZ back in the late 60's! Currently having a margarita and making decisions of how to get to the Grand Canyon detour! Today was hard and I know there will be more days ahead like this one... dreadful, but painfully rewarding in their own right! Soon, we will be heading back to Centennial Campground to catch some early ZZZ's and hit the road to Congress AZ tomorrow! Lots of climbs ahead from here! So please, as always, tell your friends, tell your families, tell your foes!
